This is my favourite local pub in Finchley Central. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere. I tried the lamb roast recently and it was good. My only suggestion is to bring the steak pie and mash back to the menu.. that was such a pub classic! I think they have the pie of the day on Tuesdays but not always. Keep up the nice work guys!

I celebrated my 21st birthday with all my friends at this pub and all I can say is if you want a celebration, have it here! Organisation went so smoothly and Lisa is the best! Our night was filled with laughter, great food and drinks and karaoke where we sung our hearts out. A special thank you to all the staff members; the service was amazing, everyone is so attentive and created an amazing atmosphere for all of us. Everyone was so pleased and we all had a fantastic time. Will definitely be back soon and I recommend this place for everyone.

Lovely pub with colourful flower boxes at the front and seating also. We had a fantastic Sunday roast, one chicken, one lamb and they didn't scrimp on the portion sizes either! Great value and the staff are lovely. Would highly recommend.

Nice atmosphere, reasonably priced drinks, friendly staff, but the food is awful. I paid around £14 for a veggie chicken burger that very obviously only just came out of the freezer (only the very middle was soft the edges were tough and like cardboard) with very little filling, and a handful of chips a few of which were not fully cooked through. I would go back to catchup with friends over a drink but would not recommend eating there.

Very impressed. Called in for a pint to kill time waiting for a Spike Milligan event nearby. Lovely lady poured my pint and then kept it behind the bar for me while I used the loo (lone traveller doesn't ever like to leave an unattended pint at table) When I got settled at my table, I'm not even lifting it to my lips when she runs up and takes it off me saying it was likely bottom of the barrel, and she'd rather bring me a fresh one. Two min later I've got a delicious pint of Timothy Taylor Landlord. Will come back definitely! And all this despite J.D. Salinger's novel being quite the worst…
