About Coombe Lodge

Pub-style chain serving up a menu of grilled meats and international favourites such as fajitas.

Coombe Lodge is a grade II listed Georgian building, which is probably the most impressive pub structurally in Croydon. A pub only since 1990, it is now operated by Whitbread under their 'Beefeater' brand. The left of the building as you face the entrance is the restaurant, and to the right is the large bar, adjoined by a splendid Victorian conservatory. Outside is a large garden. Although only a short distance from the centre of town, Coombe is an almost rural situation, despite the tram and main road passing outside the entrance. The site also has a modern Premier Inn building and large car park but this does not detract from the impressive older house. Breakfast is available earlier than the times shown here (see web site) and bar meals are also available.

Nice and quiet spot if you ever want a chilled meal with friends and family. Reasonable prices for food + the garden area is great in the summer. The mixed grill is good deal is you like steak. And they have plenty of other vegan/veggie alternatives.

I stayed at the south Croydon Premier inn after a wedding and had my breakfast here. The building is beautiful, inside and out. The food was lovely and staff were very attentive and polite

Definitely the most beautiful Beefeater I have seen! Really stunning garden, a lot of outdoor seating with plenty of room between tables so you had your own space. The area was really well kept, tables and chairs were spotless. The inside of the building was equally well presented and had lovely decor. The roast dinner was amazing, we got the sharing platter with beef and lamb. The portion size was generous and everything was very tasty! I am quite the roast snob but I can say this was the best pub roast I have ever had. The potatoes were cooked perfectly! Prices were decent as you would…

We had our wedding here today (2nd October 2024)! And it was absolutely beautiful!! We booked out the conservatory function room and we absolutely loved it!! Connor was absolutely amazing and so helpful - he made the day run really smoothly and was so kind and thoughtful. The food and drinks were amazing too. Can’t recommend enough, thanks so much for everything :)

Went on a tuesday evening around 7,, got seated in a quiet area which was lovely - had the doors to the conservatory area open so made it a bit cold but was still really nice. Callum was our waiter and gave amazing service. We were warned of slight delays due to a big table i believe but the wait times weren’t a bother. Lovely food - had 3 courses and it was all absolutely amazing. The chefs here are great. Love coming here with family - always great service.
