About Airman
Large spacious traditional landmark pub founded in 1938. The pub's location, next to Hanworth Air Park, made it popular with RAF pilots during WWII. It was also a target for the German air force, the Luftwaffe during the war, and its car park was bombed during the Blitz. This pub was closed in 2018 and has subsequently reopened in 2022 then closed again in 2023. Now reopened under new management.

They cancelled my booking after check in time started. When I popped in at 7pm that night, the staff told me the room has water leakage problem, but he was too busy, so he couldn't fix it. They asked me to find another place... they didn't show apology to the short notice. My trip has been ruined completely, and I suffered ridiculous costs for booking another hotel (every hotel raised the price for same night booking). They didn't offer any compensation to me and also asked me to request a refund by myself (to booking.com)... What a poor management and customer service!
