About Berry & Barrel
Family-run shop conversion pub serving craft beers, real ales, wines, gins and cocktails. Opened in a former dry cleaner's shop in December 2020. A long room equipped with high tables and stools and with a traditional bar counter. Two prominent electronic boards display a large range of keg beers and cask ales on offer with details of ABV and price. Cask and keg beers are not clearly differentiated so you will need to ask for confirmation at time of placing your order.
Cask ales are served from a rear room on gravity dispense.
Walls are decorated in a contemporary style and background music is often played.
After a false start the garden is now available but must be vacated by the times shown above.
The previous experiments in operating a pizza van from the forecourt of the next door premises are currently on hold.
Card payment is accepted here. Tables may be reserved using the pub's website links.

A little tucked away but worth a visit. Staff friendly and very good service. Wide selection of wines and cocktails but no menu for the beers. Tie up with local Fireaway offers a tasty choice of pizzas and sides - highly recommend. Just a shame it wasn’t a little busier.

A really lovely bar with such friendly staff and a brilliant, relaxed atmosphere. They have an excellent selection of cocktails and other drinks. The bar is also very dog friendly, which adds to an overall friendly vibe. We love it here. Have only been for drinks so can’t comment on food, but the bar snacks are great!

Nice little neighbourhood bar. Friendly staff, nice layout and atmosphere. Good cocktails. They even have a garden area which I was not aware of.

A nice homely pizzeria. A beautiful cozy pizzeria with some simple decor but it has a lovely atmosphere about it. The staff were truly lovely and helpful. The menu has a decent selection of items but I chose the vegetarian options (veggie supreme) and it was great. The toppings were disturbed evenly and cooked perfectly. Do give it a try if you're in the area.

Very pleasant. Decent range of beers at "contemporary" prices ( had a Meantime IPA) , attentive waitress, pleasant environment ( no smokers outside the door), decent pitta and humus snack, warm, buzz of conversation, community ambiance. What's not to like?
