About Betjeman Arms
Contemporary pub with large outdoor terrace under the spectacular arches of St Pancras station.
Named after the esteemed poet who led the fight to prevent the station's destruction, do not be deceived by the outside of this pub on the upper floor to the right within St Pancras Station (from Euston Road), it is quite a labyrinth. Drinking on the outside terrace you can admire the enormous statue of the kissing couple and watch the Eurostar trains come and go underneath the amazing glass roof that epitomises St Pancras and has been beautifully restored by the redevelopments.
Walk into the bar and you can see two of the original pillars now painted in a bold red colour (see pic). This was following a brief closure in Spring 2018, which has resulted in a darker brown stained interior with green tiling and lots of framed posters of the railway age. This is the second refurbishment since opening, as in 2014 the open-plan kitchen was moved and the bar put in its current place which, being much longer, allowed 6 handpumps to be fitted.
To the back is a pleasant bar area with several mirrors. Walk through to the left and there is another area which almost feels like a meeting room with its large central table. Walk through again and the more formal eating area here has a nice feel, almost of a Victorian Eating Room. Keep going and you'll get to the toilets.
The food menu could be described as British Gastro, with breakfasts from 8am, check website for full offerings.

This is a pub with plenty of indoor seating as well as a section within the covered St. Pancras platform area, expected range of draught and bottled beer, spirits, cocktails and wine and a good assortment of foods they can prepare in the kitchen. Met up with a friend for a couple rounds recently. Prices are reasonable, service friendly, easy pub to find at King's Cross/St. Pancras, comfortable environs, would gladly choose it for a meeting spot again.

Popped in for the first time yesterday. Stunning interior that makes up some different areas of the pub which is ideal if you want to find a quiet spot out of the way or if you prefer to be in amongst the crowds then you can stick to the main bar area. Outside seating at the front and also overlooking some of the platforms. Good drink choices with a friendly service and a good ambiance. Will definitely use this pub again in future.

The bar feels a little like a small town, old man's pub - sofas so well worn you can slouch, sticky tables etc. I enjoy that though. There are some other rooms beyond the main bar that are more formal and look a nice place to have dinner. The outside beer garden (within the station) is a nice addition. Friendly service.

I had a crazy-important meeting with 12 clients whom I had never met in person. Bobby and Mike worked to make it perfect. The reserved the table, handled all the service, put it all onto one tab (which they don’t do on Sunday Roast) - all of which made the experience flawless, fun, and focused for me and my guests. Thank you both so much for coordinating and executing my Aug 4th London Meet Up so special.

I was there on a Monday evening for a quick pint, just before closing. Not many people there, but remember this is a week day and late in the evening. Probably better during the day and at the weekend. Pint was good and service friendly.
