About Black Swan

Airy gastropub with exposed ceiling beams, fireplaces and heavy wood tables, plus large beer garden.

Airy open plan pub with a strong food focus but where drinkers are also made very welcome. One guest beer is usually from a local brewery. Most of the food is locally sourced including meat from a local butcher and the pub bakes its own bread. Children are welcome throughout and dogs are welcome in the bar area. A table tennis table is available for customer use. Classic car and motorcycle breakfast meet 8.30am - 11.30am every 2nd Sunday in month. The pub once featured as the Slaughtered Lamb in the film "American Werewolf in London", though it has changed considerably since.

First off, we have been here before for a Sunday roast and it’s incredible!!! Beautiful food and service from all staff. Last night we had our wedding reception at the Black Swan after getting married abroad. Barbara was AMAZING! Of course the only day forecasted to rain was yesterday, but she said it’s fine we can accommodate, our reception started inside with welcome drinks then moved outside to the garden area. It was amazing, food was beautiful everyone complimented the pub, food, staff, the DJ absolutely everything! Could not fault one thing - amazing venue for lunch in the sunshine in…

Great location in a prosperous part of Surrey. A lovely old building at the junction of two serpentine country lanes. Nicely renovated in a typical Greene King style Good choice of locally brewed ales. The prices reflect the area. And there is a sneaky "discretionary" service charge. I asked the staff the meaning of the word 'discretionary'. They didn't know. Food was mediocre, although the service was attentive. Overpriced.

Great food and table service in a lovely pub with friendly atmosphere in a charming rural location. We went for Sunday lunch to choose from a great menu and the place was packed. Everyone round here knows this is a great place!

Very nice pub . Great food and everything was delicious. They even blessed us with a free prosecco each for our 60ths! Thank you 😊

We’ve been regulars for a while now. Pleased by the new spring menu, and the service is generally good. The croque monsieur was delicious (you’ve got to add the fried egg!) and the mushroom crumpet is amazing. We also tried the gnocchi, club sandwhich and chicken profiterole. All nicely washed down with a very good bottle of Picpoul de Pinet. Service is generally good and helpful but some children’s cutlery or colouring would be appreciated.
