About Boleyn Tavern
Sizable traditional pub with stripped floors and a huge horseshoe-shaped bar - Britain's longest.
Built by Cannon Brewery in 1899, architects Shoebridge and Rising. Until 2016 when West Ham United Football Club’s stadium, the Boleyn Ground, closed. The pub was the centre of the universe on match days. Reopened in June 2021 after a spectacular £1.5 million restoration by Remarkable Pubs with the aim of making the interior look like it was when it first opened. New hand-crafted wooden screens have been created, complete with acid-etched and brilliant cut glass, replicating one of the original wood and glass panels in the old saloon bar. This means the original seven bar layout has been restored. The highlight is the massive coloured glass skylight that spans what once would have been a billiards room, but is now an open kitchen, servery and dining area.
In September 2023 the pub was operating a "Beer Card" system whereby you get a beer card stamped when you buy a beer. When the card is full (9 stamps) you qualify for a free beer. This is open to all customers.

Beautiful pub! We went for Sunday lunch. Good variety of beers, including craft beers and IPAs. The food was good. The sea bass fillet was yummy (only negative is that I would like the skin to be crispy) but it was fresh and tasty. The lamb roast was ok but I'm not a big fan of lamb flavour. The atmosphere was very nice, it was busy enough but it's not loud so it's perfect for a good time in family or with friends. The service was very good and super accommodating. They allowed us to change to the restaurant side which is beautiful! The staff serving drinks and food are very welcoming and…

Went here for lunch. Oh my goodness the fish n chips are the bomb diggity! If you've got a hankering get down here. The goats cheese salad is apparently very good as well.

Absolutely beautiful pub, inside and out. Just stunning. The food is delicious with a menu of classics made very well, and the service is friendly. They also seem to show some sports (they were posters up some Rugby match showings) though I’ve not been for sport before. Highly recommend this place.

Beautiful heritage pub with a rich history. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Especially Katie, who advised us on the choice of beer and gave us a brief history lesson about the area. The pub itself was refurbished. It is clean. The Fish and chips were delicious, and the portion was huge! 5 Stars!

What a wonderful and interesting find!! It is almost palatial with a beautiful restaurant room with booths and a cosy traditional main pub with some private areas. Super beer selection. Good food. Good service. I should probably say a must for any West Ham United fan, I am not one of those.. but there are plenty of memories and treasure for any fan of the club.
