About Cock Inn

European dining in a spacious modern venue with a clean-lined contemporary interior.

Set back from the main road,a short walk from Cockfosters station. London Loop passes close by and Trent Park is a few minutes walk away.

Renamed Cock Inn when M&B reopened it after a refit in April 2015. Thanfully, due to local pressure, the owners did NOT reopen it as a Miller&Carter; food is an important feature, but we are pleased to see they have retained their real ale offerings!! Well done M&B!

Since lockdown, cask ale restricted to just one to maintain good quality. As demand increases so will the beer offering!

Mad Squirrel craft beer on keg often available.

Stone flooring and posh seating in an open-plan main bar. Formal restaurant at the rear in front of a large secure garden.

We enjoyed our food here and would definitely come back. The interior is lovely and it's so great that it is dog friendly. The staff were friendly and helpful and service very good. I enjoyed the banana blossom "fish" and chips and it was lovely.

A lovely evening spent here. Couldn't fault anything about the venue, warm and welcoming environment, delicious food that arrived quickly. (Our chefs were Alin and Florin) Our server was Margot who couldn't be more helpful and friendly. Will definitely return.

We had such a lovely lunch, plenty to choose from and very reasonable. My mum couldn’t finish all her meal and they accommodated her with a take out box. Keanu was such a gentleman and his knowledge of the menu was great. To top things off they have the most delicious macarons served with your coffee. Amazing friendly staff.

This place was a very welcome finish to the London Loop section 15 Elstree to Cockfosters walk. The pub is a beautiful, airy building with a large pretty pub garden. Great selection of beers. Food looked great judging by what other patrons were having. Recommend a stroll down to Jack Lake on the way one of the houses on the left was apparently used to interrogate German prisoners of war!

I'm so glad we found this pub after Go Ape, it was such a great atmosphere to recover after the 3 hours of rope and tree climbing. Maisie and the team were so lovely and welcoming. The food was superb too, big shout out to Daniella and the chefs. The portions were just right and loved the smaller dessert options. Definitely deserves a 5 star and more, hope to come back at some point.
