About Cock Inn

Bright contemporary pub retaining its traditional charm and serving a British food menu.

The main building is around 250 years old and what was once the public bar area within it is at last back in use. The interior is split into a bar area and dining areas. Despite the emphasis on food, drinkers are made welcome. Modern decor with painted walls and varnished wood floor. There are wonderful views across the valley opposite from the pub and garden. Function room that can accommodate up to 30 people is available. Real log fire in both main bar and function room. Accredited for beer quality during 2023.

Bad reception no good afternoon or I will be with you in a minute, 10 minutes before we were seated, another wait before we got served with drinks. Then another wait before we ordered the meal. Yet another wait before we got our meal to find it was just warm. Could not eat it We did complain Waitress very apologetic. Asked for the bill they deducted the price for the drinks which was appreciated but it would have been better if we had better service and a hot meal. It was not busy at all.

The food and drinks were excellent, decent price and the burgers (1 beef 1 Vegan) worth to die for. Service was good and the pub was very clean. Plenty of seats inside and outside. Well worth a visit.

We had been coming here for a number of years however recently the food was slightly disappointing. Today we decided to give it another try and were very satisfied with the excellent food and service. Would highly recommend to give it another go!

Still as good as ever and one of the best Guinness you will find in the area. Always immaculate and tidy with courteous bar staff and excellent service. Always try and stop in if I'm in the area. Never eaten here but food always looks great when it's coming out. Nice outside terrace for summer, perfect place to start and finish a local walk.

Lovely family meal. Plenty of parking and the staff were really nice. We had 2 courses, chicken burgers were great, fish cake was good too however not very big so could have done with come chips or a side. I would go back
