Had a lovely afternoon in the crooked billet and Heather made our afternoon even better and easier by looking after us and our 4 legged friend Jimmy. She is a fantastic waitress and fantastic with animals. She explained the menu and also told us they have doggie menu . Great pub and great atmosphere

I had a lovely dinner here. The food was lovely and reasonably priced too. Our waiter Zack was amazing, he was super friendly and had the best customer service I’ve seen in a long time! Will definitely be returning!

We always visit this place when visiting friends who live in the area. The location is great with outside eating areas at the back and at the front facing the pond and the green. There is also indoor seating if you prefer to eat inside. The food is consistently good. I tend to have my favourite (fish & chips) but we've tried othe items on the menu. The service is good. We tend to go mid-afternoon. Zak is attentive, friendly, polite and has a sense of humour. He knows the menu and I think he actually enjoys his work. The atmosphere is pleasant for families with children.

My 8 year old son and I visited with my nan for her 88th birthday. Heather (I believe her name was) was our server and took great care of us. She made sure we understood the various special summer offers and informed us that children eat for £1. She was genuinely very attentive and a credit to the pub. The food was very good, and the price was very reasonable for the amount of food we got, making 3 very happy guests. All in all a great place to go for lunch, in lovely surroundings with attentive staff. You couldn't ask for more! Keep up the good work.
