About Crown
Large, traditional half-timbered pub with a homely interior, fireside chairs and a beer garden.
This Ember Inns pub has a large restaurant area, and specialises in its food options although there is plenty of room for patrons only wishing to drink. There is a large conservatory and a pleasant garden. Up to three cask ales are now normally available. The guest beers change regularly and can come from anywhere in the UK. Cost of car parking tickets can be reclaimed at the bar when you order food or drink. There is an active social scene with quiz nights (every Wed & Sun), karaoke (first Thursday of the month), and psychic nights (second Monday of the month).

Very upscale pub. Had a great meal pictured below. The beer was cold and the staff warm.

Great food and great prices!! The service was super friendly and welcoming. Catered to our allergies and more The only con I would say which we didn’t mind about actually was that’s we went on a Saturday late afternoon / evening so was expecting more from atmosphere; live music, band, etc

Went in for the 1st time with my family for sunday Roast . 2.30pm. All sold out of beef. Which when the menu is just beef or chicken is automatically disappointing. . We were then told food would be 15 minute to an hour. We said fine. Over an hour later we received starters. Very oily mushroom. Dry greasy cheesy garlic bread. Wings were ok to be fair. The mains came 30 minutes later . All cold all looked reheated. The chicken was abysmal no flavour undercooked and inedible. Potatoes tasted like packet potatoes. We quickly gave up and requested clearing so we could have deserts and leave…

Great place with lovely staff. Food was lovely and drinks were reasonably priced. Will be back Edit: we came back again with the family for a party - buffet was amazing. So generous and value for money! We consider booking future parties and celebrations here

Range of drinks was fine, service was fine - food was AWFUL. I ordered a medium-rare steak which came burned to a crisp - black on the outside, brown and chewy inside. Possibly the worst steak I've ever eaten. It was supposed to come with "a flat mushroom" - I expected a reasonably-sized portobello, but I got the head of ONE SINGLE mushroom, about the size of a 10p piece. I asked for a side-salad instead of chips, and got a dish of lettuce with literally three strands of red onion. The dish was supposed to include "Crispy Onion Fries" but didn't. The garden peas amounted to about a dessert…
