About Crown Tavern
Bright, spacious gastropub with light-filled dining areas, sofas and front terrace seating.
Built in the 1860s as a multi-roomed pub, the ground floor has been converted into a single space with some separation between areas. As part of refurbishment a purpose built restaurant area (single storey) was added at the rear. Large beer garden at the front with parking and cycle racks at the rear. Function room with own bar on first floor is available for hire. Re-opened after extensive refurbishment on 11 August 2015 with six handpumps.

Great roast, prompt service, understanding staff, accommodating and friendly. Finished the plate which only means one thing…….too good to leave any other way. Thanks Dan, see you again soon! BTW the cherry bakewell cocktail was a great pairing to the apple crumble.

Expected to find a vibe at the Crown because of EUFA tournament but it was so quiet today. Still love the service, atmosphere and food at this beautiful pub in Lee, south east London. There are several areas inside and out and lots of tables, so spoilt for choice for seating. Super clean, light and airy with great selection of drinks!

The chef in this place is incredible. I had the beef shank pie which was absolutely delicious, one of the best I have ever had. Hand Made in the establishment, not defrosted like in other pubs and I am a fussy person. The mashed potato was silky and delicious. Thank you for a great dinner. Highly recommended!

The Crown is an absolutely lovely local tavern in SE12 that is very spacious (outdoor and indoor seating) with a proper restaurant towards the back. The front portion is the bar itself with self seating and TV screens. The staff is also extremely welcoming and friendly. Also I had my very first proper English Sunday roast and it was divine! I absolutely devoured the dish. To be specific I ordered the Crown Trio roast and everything was cooked to perfection. Vegetarians and Vegans - there are options for you on the menu as well. Came for Sunday lunch and the food was amazing! Roasts were perfect, and the triple roast was a lovely addiction to the menu. And catered well as we had a celiac dining with us Bar team was speedy and efficient and knew what they were doing. The restaurant was gorgeous with all the glass! Will definitely return
