About Duchess Belle
Long-running, floral-accented pub with a heated beer garden serving classic fare & real ales.
Part of a small pub chain that also includes the Griffin Belle in nearby Vauxhall, this lively, Victorian street-corner local was refurbished in 2018 after a chequered history. There is plastic foliage and flowers abounding, red leather bench seating, and an array of TV screens showing sport. The view of Sir Giles Gilbert Scott's iconic Battersea Power Station is now partly obscured by the high-end flats built around the site. There is an upstairs function room with balcony, an outside drinking area at the front, and an attractive walled, decked garden to the rear. Open for breakfast from 7.30 am on weekdays (8.30 Saturday).

Can recommend this beaut pub for both drinks and breakfast, a feat I achieved within a 12 hour period after leaving all my worldly possessions in the beer garden (I can also give a 5 star rating to the efficacy of their lost property return system). In the evenings they have a very generous happy hour which extends to the pitchers of cocktails. They're not super strong but they're cheap and do the desired job. The vibes inside are a surprisingly well blended mix of English pub and American diner. The menu is large and the food was definitely above average for a pub. They open in the morning…

I called into this pub to meet a friend who works locally, the landlord and staff were very helpful and polite something rarely found in a busy pub. The atmosphere was electric with lots of TV's on mute and some lovely music, there is an outside balcony and a downstairs beer garden to keep everyone happy. One to definitely visit if in the area and there's a blue plaque on a pillar in the bar which would interest music lovers!

What a lovely pub in the gentrified neighborhood of Battersea powestation. Very friendly team and a lovely fish n’Chips, thist squelching cider and heart attacking chocolate fudge. My doc told me not to return. But who listens to a doc! I’ll be back!!!

Lovely place with very kind and attentive staff. We had our very first Sunday Roast on the sunny terrace. I was particularly happy about the decent coffee.
