About Fox & Goose

Unassuming rooms, including 1 suite with a 4-poster bed, in a traditional pub with a beer garden.

Origins of the pub go back as far as 1680 and the front bar dates from 1830. The ancient ceremony of 'Beating the Bounds' held to bless crops and mark the parish boundaries often commenced and ended here and was kept up well into the 20th Century in Ealing. Apart from the loss of the tiny public bar, a mid 1990s refurbishment did little to alter the interior of this welcome refuge from the infamous gyratory system. Much of the single open-plan bar is stone flagged with much wood in evidence. A 2018 refurbishment was less sympathetic - the stained glass has gone, the wood panelling has been painted and laminate flooring laid and the bar has moved! Pub now does a loyalty card, buy 9 drinks and get 10th free.

The hotel staff are fantastic from reception to hotel bar and restaurant - they're all great! The room was okay, the bed was amazingly soft and I had luxurious night's sleep. Breakfast was the best! Good quality all round. My only disappointment was the bathroom, which I found not to be as high of standard as the rest of the hotel.

Why I would give it a 5? Small things matter. They don’t charge for drinking water - we drank easily 5-6 bottles a day. They don’t charge for parking. We booked the room with breakfast and it’s easily the best breakfast we had in our trip. It’s not just the usual Breakfast buffet with fruits and cornflakes. The buffet was fresh and they also offered a hot menu on order, with multiple veg/vegan options. Worth every dollar, in UK terms, worth every pound!

Very impressed with this hotel. Extremely clean. The room was a good size with a shower and bath, body wash and shampoo. There was a fridge with bottled water and a beer included in price, tea and coffee, fresh towels and an iron. Air conditioning and windows that open. The food and breakfast was delicious with a great selection to choose from. The staff were also lovely and the service was fast. This was extremely well priced for the high quality. I would highly recommend it. Also close to the underground for commuting. Free parking too!

Great hotel for Wembley Stadium. We stayed there for one night before a gig and it was perfect. Parking, electric car charging points (that worked!) and within walking distance of the stadium - around 50 minutes. Really friendly service in the hotel and the pub / restaurant next door. They had even put some AC/DC posters up in reception on the night of the gig! Love that attention to detail! Food was excellent despite them being really busy. Nicola in the bar was really helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for an affordable overnight stay for the stadium.

Great hotel at an affordable price. Me, the missus and the kids went for a weekend in London. This hotel was much cheaper than a city centre hotel, parking and breakfast was included, and best of all we had an underground station 5 minutes walk from the hotel, which got us to the city centre in about 30 mins, and the trains run late into the night.
