About Greenwood Hotel
Chic rooms in a warm hotel, plus a bright pub with a wood-panelled bar and outdoor seating.
This 1930s former Courage roadhouse was reopened by Wetherspoon in July 2016 after six years of closure. Good Pub with great internal place and atmosphere. Drink are reasonable price but food can be expensive. Table services is poor. Table service guy was rude and non-professional. Ordered chips for quick bite with drink, its came cold so I ask for replace or cooked more but table service guy did not liesten or treat us really bad. Manager came for rescue and gave us new chips. Manager did great job but their staff lacking customer services. Good place for drink but need to improve table service

Stayed at the hotel in order to go to the Taylor Swift concert. The staff were great even though we arrived back at 1.30am and needed to ding the bell to be let in! The bed was comfortable and clean and breakfast although not part of the cost was cheap and very tasty. Would definitely recommend!

Recently went there for family dinner. Overall I think the food quality matches the price. Food is cheap and quality matches the price. The pub staff is rude, treat customers as a fools. They asked me to leave the pub because of my kids. Basically children must be seated all the time, if not it means kids are on way of staff. There is NO playground, so your kids have to be seated all the time. Staff guy named Leo (shift leader, manager of the pub….etc) approached with warnings and then he’s told my family to leave that place. Tried to have a chat with that guy but another shift leader, pub…

I had lunch today and it was very reasonably priced and had a great variety of meals. Used to come here for the breakfast only after a big drink. Met my godmother for lunch. We'll definitely come here again.

I was surprised that they made an extra charge, without my knowledge and authorization. I paid for the hotel stay for one day, and they charged me an additional fee of £100, without explaining anything to me, they went to my account and withdrew this amount. I do not recommend it to anyone. What's more, I went to have breakfast, I ordered the traditional breakfast plus a small breakfast, and they charged me double as well, they showed up with 4 breakfasts for 2 people. This has never happened to me in the whole of England, Wales and Scotland. I was a victim of a scam by this hotel
