About Hope
Dog-friendly pub overlooking Wandsworth Common, serving handmade burgers and global beers.
Now having reverted to its original name (it was the Faith and Firkin from 1997 to 2002), this prominent pub opposite Wandsworth Common Station has recently seen a resurgence in real ale with five ever-changing choices. Gastropub meals and snacks are available noon to 10pm Monday to Saturday and from noon to 9pm on Sunday when roasts predominate. Live music some weekend evenings and a quiz every Monday. The patio at the front affords a sunny drinking area in the warmer months.

Lovely setting with a great outlook onto Wandsworth common. Really lovely at sunset. Recently renovated so fit out and vibe is awesome! Food and drink is nice but food a little expensive for what it is. Maybe more of a drinks spot. Wouldn’t recommend the steak if I’m honest (£27 and wasn’t the best) but the pie, the baked Camembert bread entree were superb. Burger looks nice too. Lovely local vibe and will be back!

Went for lunch today for a treat with a close friend. She had the chef’s special roast lamb, while I had the nut roast with all the trimmings. We both thought the food was delicious and there was a lovely selection of vegetables well cooked and tasty. The staff were polite and friendly. Portion sizes were generous, my friend especially enjoyed the lamb and the nut was really tasty. What more can you ask? Thank you staff at the Hope and to the chef.

I loved the place even though it was my first time coming: I had a starter and drinks. Very delicious calamari, very helpful and friendly service, very clean disabled toilet, inside the pub and outside tables too. There isn't a strong alcohol smell.

This pub is a hidden gem! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, perfect for a casual night out. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. I had the fish and chips and it was absolutely delicious. The beer selection was impressive, and the prices were reasonable. I'll definitely be coming back!"
