Spacious pub showing big sports events and serving 2 for 1 meal deals on a traditional British menu.
Spacious chain pub. First planned by Watney in the late 1930's. A shortage of funds delayed the opening until 1957. Later a Grand Met, briefly brewing its own beers in the 1980s. Became a S&N Retail, now a Greene King pub initially with John Barras and now Flaming Grill branding.
Fully refurbished in autumn 2017 which included provision of much brighter lighting and a rural style white tiled bar back wall. Further refurbishment took place in early 2023.

I recently visited Jolly Fenman, a pub that's quite unique in many ways. It’s a large venue with extensive outdoor space, including a garden, kids' zone, smoking area, and plenty of parking—features you don’t often find in pubs. The best part is their grills, which are fantastic, and the menu is vast, offering a wide variety of delicious options. I had a really great time, not just because of the food, but also because of the numerous gaming options available, like snooker and betting machines. We was meeting up with my son's friend, so decided to pop into The Jolly Fenman , in Black Fen . This was my first visit to this pub , and I was pleasantly surprised. To start large free carpark, plenty of spaces. Inside the pub , nice and bright, and clean, lots of tables to sit , and drink, chat , or have a meal . We choose to have a pint , and played pool while we waited, we also ordered the Ultimate Feast to share , was very nice , fresh and hot , ample for two to share. As retired couples it can be difficult to find somewhere to meet up for lunch that is comfortable but also patient with us as older customers. The Jolly Fenman service is fantastic making us feel valued as customers. The food is wonderful. The ambience even for lunchtime is great and the price point perfect. We will make this a regular lunch spot.

Service was brilliant. Made hot chocolates for our young boys adding cream and Mars bars. Felt like it was no trouble. Food was good and a BOGOF on burgers on Thursday. Definitely recommend.

Visited today for a family birthday lunch. A very warm welcome from the staff. Very helpful with allergen advice. All of the food arrived quickly and at the same time even though there were 9 of us. All of the food was very good and good portion sizes
