About Jono's Bar

A narrow, yellow facade hides this Irish pub with live music on weekends and Thursday night quizzes.

Just one minute walk from the station, Jono's is a converted shop with an unusual style. The front of the bar is in dark wood and the rear is half-timbered with a patch of thatch over the seating. There are large screen TVs and a TV projector showing sports fixtures and it can be noisy at times. The bar staff are friendly and efficient and the Tribute is well-kept. It hosts live music on Friday and Saturday evenings. The second handpump sometimes has Banks's Wainwright or another cask ale.

Lovely spot which reminded me so much of my time in Dublin. Had live music as the perfect volume and such a nice atmosphere. Most importantly the staff were absolutely wonderful, thank you so much for your hospitality :)

Love this old school pub a few yards from Ilford train station. Really nice inside, excellent staff, a good pint of Guinness and a lovely atmosphere. Can't ask for much more from a pub

I've been a local resident for some time and decided to take a colleague in for a drink after work. Upon arriving, my colleague headed to the bar, leaving me alone at the table. Unfortunately, my first encounter with the staff was less than welcoming. A staff member approached me and immediately assumed I was there to watch the football, stating that I needed to buy a drink if I intended to do so. I had no intention of watching the sport, and I was disappointed that this was the initial interaction I had with the establishment. A more suitable approach would have been to ask if I'd like a…

Great find. Lads behind the bar very friendly and manager Helen very witty and funny. Drink is cheap and good. Quiz on a Thursday night and loads of screens for sport.
