About Moon Under Water

Old-fashioned, dark-wood locale for hearty British cooking, beers on tap & cocktails.

A 1990 Wetherspoon's conversion of a Woolworth store, this is gem of a find in a rather barren area for real ale. The friendly manager likes to promote London brewers and ales from the many handpumps are well maintained. The rear is set out for dining but there is a pub feel in the front with alcove seating. The silent TVs either show news broadcasts or racing which keeps the local clientele happy!

For those of you interested, they serve four craft beers on keg; Shipyard, Devil's Backbone plus two guests. They also showcase a craft beer fridge with many bottles from London breweries.

Weekend morning, Nov 23 Having a reasonable breakfast here The dining area was quite relaxing and family-friendly, but the serving area was short of staff and busy as 😳 Muffins were tough to bite, no other complaints.

Nice little pub. Food is just ok but it's cheap & cheerful. Staff are friendly.

The food here is normally quite good for an average JD Wetterpants in a pretty scruffy bit of Kingsbury. The tables were messy with half of them uncleared. The clientele don't particularly care as long as they get piles of cheap food. I can't say I enjoy this particular Spoons but it's easy to park nearby and as I said the food us usually good and the service is fast. I think it's a solid 3 Stars.

Dry reheated food and found a sticker in the food saying WED on it. It was ok but dry until I found the sticker. Today is a Sunday so I hope the sticker wasn't saying prepared on Wednesday hopefully best before! Staff are amazingly busy and trying their best. Sausages walm in the centre and soft crispy on the outer side somehow?
