About Morden Brook
Spacious local with sport on TV, pub grub, a fireplace and a paved garden terrace.
Large community pub, the only one within a wide residential area, at junction with Hillcross Avenue, opposite church and assembly hall. Large, welcoming, J-shaped bar with several distinct carpeted areas leading to one with polished floorboards equipped with darts. Several well placed TV screens throughout, including the garden, for sports; Sky, BT, Freeview. Can show more than one programme at a time. Accompanied children admitted until 9pm and baby changing facilities available. Large garden. 40 seat meeting/function room available for booking (free if buffet ordered). The pub was reopened and renamed late August 2011 after refurbishment; originally the Beverley: thought to have been named after the eponymous brook of which the nearby Pyl Brook is a tributary. Lower Morden Lane is famous for the competitive excess of residents’ external Christmas decorations. 163 bus route from Morden, Wimbledon and Raynes Park. Also 293 and 413 bus routes from Morden, first two to the Tudor Drive (ex Beverley) stops and the latter to the Morden Park Baptist Church stops. Was badged as a John Barras (Greene King) for a time e.g. in 2017.

We held the wake for our Mums funeral at The Brook Morden. It was easy to book the venue on the internet. My brother visited in person and selected the refreshments from an excellent menu. Dawn was super and really helpful. Thank you Dawn. The area reserved for the wake was spacious, with a lovely bay window and nicely set up with plenty of comfortable seating. I had brought a display board of photos of Mum, and staff promptly fetched an extra table for our display board, plus the photo album, flowers/ potted Peace Lilies, ornaments and memory book. The food was set up on several other…

We held the wake for our mother's funeral at The Morden Brook. The team, food and facilities were excellent. We were able to spend time with family and friends without having to think about the arrangements on the day as the staff were attentive throughout. Thank you very much.

Today we held a wake for our Aunt. The booking and advise from Dawn was very much appreciated, helpful in deciding how many to cater for, the whole experience went well. The room was perfect for the privacy and nothing was too much trouble. Food very nice and tasty, nice buffet selection. Thank you very much.

Better than average chain pub. Friendly staff, affordable food and clean. We were an unexpected large group on a Monday and Service with food was quite slow but I think that was because we were more than they were staffed for rather than a fair representation. We were made to feel welcome. Nice collection of board games, Scrabble etc if you fancy it.
