About Old City Arms

Traditional operation with a warm feel offering classic pub fare & Thai dishes, plus darts & pool.

Reopened on August 18th 2023 after a short period of closure for refurbishment following a change of management. The refurb retained the interior layout of the pub together with its pool tables and (increasingly unusual in West London) dart board.

Adjacent to Hammersmith Bridge's northern anchors, this redbrick-faced establishment now has a smartly furnished interior with tiled floors and wood-panelled walls (tongue and grooved throughout). Divided into three parts with semi-secluded seating areas and two smaller rooms, one devoted to one of the two pool tables, at the rear.

Two cask ales are usually available, together with keg beers, wines and spirits, including an impressive range of cocktails. Food offerings are limited to pizzas and pies, the latter optionally accompanied by a variety of extras including the traditional gravy, mash and mushy peas!

The Old City Arms at the north end of the poorly Hammersmith Bridge 🌉. Lots of scaffolding! A great little pub doing the Pie minister thing and a pizza thing. A fine range of keg beers and ciders along with London Pride and Greene King IPA from the cask. A good vibe here and a bit of Eurythmics playing in the background. A most enjoyable pint!!!

It’s not a boutique pub but one of character and a friendly atmosphere with great service. I went twice in the week and brought friends who all enjoyed it. Amazing authentic fresh Thai food which is cooked quickly. I like the novelty of having a Thai curry with a good Guinness in an Irish pub in London. The location would be great except there’s still building works on the bridge with wooden walls around the outside seating but this can’t be helped. Not a bad walk from the nearest tube.

I stopped by recently to watch the football with my dog and wanted to say thank you to the staff! We received a very warm welcome even though they were busy and service was great the whole time we were there. I didn't eat but the food that I saw looked great! Will definitely be back soon to try it!
