About Prince Albert
Green-tiled pub showing sport on several plasma screens, with a Thai menu and a covered terrace.
Opened by the Star Brewery in 1840, the pub was later unofficially known as Wiffen's as it was run by three generations of the same family whose name is still displayed behind the bar. Nowadays divided into three areas, it is popular for its convivial atmosphere and Thai restaurant with take-away service. The attractive garden is pleasant in summer. Live music on Saturday evenings 9-11pm. Two annual beer festivals feature small brewers. The smoking patio also features a sports screen. The Prince Albert has been a finalist in the Fuller's Master Cellerman competition for four years running. The pub refurbished in 2016.

I've been coming here for years, honestly one of the best thai places around. The atmosphere is great. It's a thai restaurant at the back of a pub. You can sit in the pub or garden for a mixture of the two or sit in the designated restaurant area. The staff are really accommodating with the food. They will make sure that something is Gluten Free, vegetarian or if you want something less spicy they will tone down the spice level. The food is also really tasty and reasonably priced.

The Thai kitchen here is first class. The pub is also very nice for a drink or two. But the Thai food is legit, been several times and it's often full, and even more encouraging - a LOT of Thai people eat there. One of the best Thai restaurants in London at the moment.

Right. The food here is amazing. So fresh, full of flavour and delicious. The staff were fab. We wanted to take our time and have a relaxing Sunday afternoon meal. They let us order course by course rather than ordering everything at once. The cocktails too, were great. I had the house one and it was delicious. Unfortunately, some of the clientele let this place down. First, we had a table with an extended family behind us. They had obviously been in the pub a while and the children were getting bored and restless - which isn't the children's fault. They were running around the pub, almost…
