About Queen's Head
Long-running British pub offering classic dishes & beers in a quaint, traditional atmosphere.
Situated in the old part of town, opposite the church, one has to step down from the street into this attractive-looking pub which was built in the mid-nineteenth century. The earliest documented evidence of a public house on the site is 1544 but it is likely that there has been one from an even earlier date. The pub has had several names but the current one commemorates Anne Boleyn, who is depicted on the pictorial sign. The pub was a Watneys house in 1966 when it was hit by an arson attack but despite this the character of an old pub remains. There is just one, irregularly shaped, bar with bay windows, wooden floorboards, walls mainly of exposed brick and low ceilings. Decorated and furnished tastefully for a historic pub which is grade II listed. On the walls are photographs related to royalty and a corner dedicated to James Bond. Refurbished in late 2017.
Please note the choice of real ales drops to 3 on Monday to Wednesday,

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Queens Head for a quick drink, and what truly made the experience memorable was the outstanding service from the staff Bliss behind the bar. From the moment I stepped in, I felt immediately at ease. Bliss was not only quick to serve but also created a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made me feel right at home. Bliss remained attentive, ensuring that every customer was taken care of with a smile. It was clear that the staff genuinely cared about their guests, which made all the difference. The comfort I felt while enjoying my drink wasn’t just due…

This is the best pub in Uxbridge as per our opinion. It has the quaint charm that can make one relax and enjoy a pint and a warm meal. As the name suggests, the pub is filled with images of Anne Boleyn’s head, a clear nod to the tragic fate of the queen, whose head was involuntarily separated from her body. Moving on to the food—while most of it was good, the bao was a bit disappointing. We were expecting the traditional steamed buns, but instead, we were served baked baos, which didn’t quite hit the mark. Overall we will come here again but won't order any food that is some kind of fusion…

Lovely place for relaxing drink with some snacks. We went for a walk and ended up here 😀 Friendly staff and plenty of seating area. Fried chicken tasted okay, drinks were better.
