Booked a table last minute Saturday evening. A table was available. Lovely building. Nice interior decor. Loads of outdoor seating. Lovely old place full of charm. We were very well looked after. The food is delicious, top-notch. no loud music or voices. So 😊 wonderful atmosphere . Perfect place to have a nice conversation without having to shout above other people or noises.

Due to mixed reviews both myself and my partner decided to dine out at the queens head and to see for ourselves. The bar staff are very friendly and the food was very nice. We found our waitress Jolie to be very polite and very charming. Always greeted us both with a smile and took her time to go through the food and wine menu. She showed outstanding customer service skills beyond our expectations and myself and my partner had a very enjoyable night out. In my opinion, I highly recommend the queens head as it truly has a nice tranquil atmosphere but most of all I would like to thank Jolie and…

The Queen's Head, a historic tavern with a touch of class. This establishment has been serving locals and travelers alike for generations, its walls steeped in stories of days gone by. Overall, it's a decent spot for a bite and a brew. The food? Average at best. But fear not, weary traveler, for the drinks more than make up for it. From crisp pints to perfectly mixed cocktails, they've got you covered on the liquid front. And let's not forget about the staff. Super friendly and always ready with a smile, they'll make you feel right at home from the moment you walk through the door. Now…

Excellent all round. Food was brilliant, we ate a 3 course meal and didn’t feel like we needed to lie down for 2 days. This part is also a compliment - the service was slow. I repeat, that is not a problem - the service was fully attentive, I just never got the feeling they wanted us out of there - they took the time between courses and just let us enjoy the evening. There is nothing worse than feeling like you have rented the table for 45 minutes and they are going to throw food and drink down your throat as fast as possible to get you out of there. Started at 7.30, left at 11, I’m…
