About Railway Tavern Ale House
Public house dating from the 19th century serving pints & vegan pizza.
Following a change of operators (until late 2018 it had been run by the same team that manage The Pineapple, and Tapping The Admiral) the left side of bar was extended with a pizza oven added. The l/h area is now more visible as curtains removed and bar counter servery curves to the left side and rear now around the pizza oven. Fireplace located in a cosy corner. Payment by card only.
Beers from such as 5 Points and Adnams although there may not always be 3 on at a time. There is also a good range of craft kegs. The confusingly, named and smaller Railway Tavern on Kingsland Rd in E8 has now closed. Was for a while called Old Henry's Freehouse before it reverted to the original name.

We had our wedding here and it was just the happiest place. The managers, Daniel and Josh, are SO lovely! They helped us with all the little details and made excellent suggestions throughout the planning. The staff were all amazing and the pub will always have such a special place in our hearts. We love The Railway Tavern! We can’t thank you enough.

We had our wedding reception here and it was just perfect. The staff are so helpful and welcoming. The pizza is delicious. The space is warm and inviting. The prices are so so reasonable for this part of London! So glad to have Railway Tavern as our local and we feel so lucky to have been able to host our reception here. Just the best.

Honestly the best pizza in London (I am Italian, just to put things into context…) made with tasty ingredients. We had one Marinara, one Napoletana and this mezzaluna which is half pizza half calzone… delicious stuff!

The Railway Tavern was the perfect place for us to host an engagement party. We had to last minute change our venue, and the staff were so accommodating to host our event. They even helped us decorate the space on the day and made the room look fab. Pizzas are delicious and make excellent party food. Couldn’t recommend higher. Thank you!

One of my favourite pubs in London, all the staff are really lovely and welcoming no matter the time or day, and price of the drinks is reasonable considering some of the pubs in the area charging crazy prices over the last year. They also do a great pint of Guinness too
