About Rising Sun
Much-improved, two-bar, traditional town pub in the shadow of the church. The five guest beers are mainly from independent breweries, including LocAle beers, and up to three ciders or perries are stocked. Regular monthly live music. Beer festivals are held three times a year (spring, summer and winter) with the summer festival held in the pub's large rear garden. A Cider festival is also held. Local CAMRA Pub of the Year 2012 and 2013, Runner-up in 2015. The back bar is available for private functions.

My 2 friends and I went here after another pub in the area. It was a relaxed atmosphere with good music and friendly staff and other pub goers. Will definitely be returning

Was here for the Euro 2020 final. Staff were great and worked really hard. They kept everyone topped up with booze. Hope they got a bonus for all their effort!! I was sitting outside and, to be fair, it's a pretty good setup! However, one star lost for the seats not being comfortable enough! 2 hours of gameplay and penalties was too much for me! Or maybe it was my big a r s e....... ;-)
