About Rose & Crown

Spacious traditional pub serves classic British food indoors or in the large, lawned garden.

A large restaurant pub which reopened in late March 2016 following a major refurbishment, and is now operated by the Whiting & Hammond Chain. The pub is located on the main A21 within easy reach of Junction 4 on the M25, and is convenient for visitors to High Elms Country Park.

The pub is now generally brighter and seems more spacious. The venue has a changing food range, with menus printed daily. Despite the food emphasis, casual drinkers are welcomed. The pub remains child-friendly with various play equipment in the extensive garden.

    Family friendly with a lovely atmosphere. Dropped in as a family of 4 on a Sunday evening and was warmly welcomed even though they were fairly busy. The food was good and the service really great. They have some planned events heading into Christmas so worth a look. It’s also dog friendly so you can get your pooch to tag along while you indulge.

    Arrived today here just for a drink because the rain catches us on our cycling tour. Staff (two young women) was very helpful and gave us a table for a short time, though it was very crowded. Very nice atmosphere, can recommend!

    Visited this pub and got a parking ticket despite having put my car registration into the terminal. Got proof of eating there from Sean, but parking company would not accept this. Tried to contact The manager of the pub on numerous occasions for help, but no one called me back despite telling me he was the only one who could help. I won't ever go there again or recommend anyone to use this pub.

    Just been here for Father’s Day lunch - it was wonderful. It was myself, husband, son, daughter in law and two small children. They were so accommodating and the service and food were very good. My food was excellent even though it was gluten free. All of us had the prawn cocktails and three of us had the roast beef which was such good quality and cooked exactly as we ordered it. The huge beef burger was really good too. Portions are large and the desserts were amazing. The children had a child’s meal which was nice and easy.     Had lunch today while working in the area. What impressed me indeed was the smell of the place- very pleasant, homely looking too. Had a few fireplaces there. Dog friendly. First impressions are great, food was delicious and service was excellent, friendly and polite. Decent vegetarian options. Had hummus and bread for starters and mac and cheese for main.
