About Royal Standard

Snug, independent local offering real ales and sports on large screen TVs in a relaxed ambiance.

Small backstreet corner pub, redecorated in 2019 to give a light and airy feel. Attractive exterior features pretty stained glass top lights. Wifi available as well as board games and glossy magazines. Takeaway menus, plates and cutlery provided for customers to order food to eat in the pub.

Reopened summer 2022 after several months' closure following an electrical fire. Outside seating has moved from the garden to a number of benches on the road in an area that has parking suspended.

Was named Tonsley Tup for a while.

Wonderful pub, really friendly staff and a far better option than the nearby Alma (don't shout about it though!). Great Guinness and live sport on multiple screens, we'll be back!

A super street corner pub with some great beer on offer. Only one cask ale available when I called in. However Brakspear's Gravity is on the way to double the options. Just a lovely, simple down to earth pub. Loved it!

Good local boozer. Nicely refurbished a couple of years ago. Only one cask ale at a time (rotating selection from Brakspears) but always perfectly kept and served. One of few in the neighbourhood that’s not also trying to be a restaurant (no kitchen). Loud music sometimes a bit irritating on busy evenings.

Best pub ever. Super friendly and welcoming staff, good prices, great selection of drinks and great atmosphere. My favourite pub in London. Have had many a great evening here and no doubt many more to come.

The staff there are always welcoming and very kind. My dog had some dog biscuits. Thank you 😊
