About Savoy Tap
Real ales, ciders and wines in pub showing TV sport, with live bands and regular comedy nights.
Opposite the historic Queens Chapel of the Savoy, this former Wm Younger outlet offers a warm welcome environment with a mixed clientele. The small downstairs bar, with its wooden floors, is lightened by its large clear windows, while the upstairs bar doubles as a function room.
Seating is of the barstool/banquette variety. Whilst close to the Strand and its tourists, the pub is in a quietish side street and drinking outside is perfectly possible. The food offering is now only crisps and nuts from behind the bar.
Two cask ales from the SN stable normally rotate here. However from 2022 there has been a "dedicated monthly celebration of beer" - on the first Monday of every month the pub will ensure there are a minimum of three different cask products available on traditional draught.
The whole pub is available for private hire on Sundays.
Participant in the SN 2024 Cask Club beer offer, 20% discount to CAMRA members.

A neat little pub tucked away down Savoy Street, The Savoy Tap, of the Shepherd Name stable is a good addition to Strand life. The pub is situated a few yards to the west of Waterloo Bridge. A range of both keg and cask beers on offer, served quickly and efficiently by the friendly staff. A bit of maintenance on the cellar hatch being undertaken on arrival, new hinges required! Good beer, good service and a most pleasant place for a drink. There is also a near duplicate bar upstairs, providing more seating for the thirsty.

This is a small friendly pub tucked away in a quiet side street just yards from the busy Strand. They have 4 cask beers but I opted for a Spitfire lager at a very reasonable £6. I was here at 5pm on a Tuesday afternoon and found it quite busy, mainly with locals. The service was very good. They do have an upstairs bar and function room.

Nice small pub tucked away from main street, not very visible, specially with those roadworks happening now. And you know what? I liked it! It's a good place to sit down, have a breather and a pint. Would like to get here for longer with some people as I was returning from job interview and it was afternoon. Old fashioned decor, everything in wood, some paintings, staff seems friendly. Only complain would be prices. I know everything has gone up - except wages, viva Britain, not Great anymore - recently but charging almost 7 quid for non alcoholic Guinness should be penalized. 7 pounds for…

First rate. My second visit and there will be more. Shep Neame beer on draft, common in Kent, no so in London. Worth a try if you like ale. Great team and yes I did have the best toastie :D
