What a place !! A beautiful period building tastefully decorated to a high standard throughout... Attention to detail here is clear to see... Very clean and polished Very friendly staff and Sam (Landlady) was very welcoming, she has had the pub for over 5 years and really takes a pride in her pub. The ship has a Large free carpark and a large outside beer garden for alfresco dining or just relaxing in the hot weather. A great place to eat drink and socialize 😎

Very pleasant. Went at midday on a Saturday so it was quite quiet as they had just opened. I ordered the mixed grill, it was pretty decent. Not a massive fan of the chicken wings but the steak, gammon and sausage were good. £2.50 for a tiny pot of peppercorn sauce was a bit excessive, but overall the meal was good value. Nice large beer garden and plenty of seating indoors. Seems like it would be a good place for a Friday or Saturday night drink.

Have been to this pub many times and always enjoyed the food and had good service. However we went along on Sunday, it was busy and so service wasn’t great. We were told there would be a wait for food because they were busy. We all ordered the a roast, a couple having the Trio roast, expecting to get lovely slices of roast meat, instead we got a small slice of beef, which was tough, half a pork chop which was also tough, and a small mini fillet of chicken, which was dry. It was a really disappointing meal, considering we had to wait just over an hour for this to come out. I don’t like to…

The food was very nice, although the brushetta starter had way too many things on it, and it made bread a bit soggy. Less is definitely better for this starter. Gammon was excellent, chips were lovely. The service was very, very good. Extremely pleasant staff.

Absolutely love the Ship, the staff in there are always so kind and patient. My mum and I often meet for a little lunch, and they're so accommodating. We've eaten quite a few things from the menu, from their burgers to their roasts, soups, loaded fries.... everything has always been fresh and delicious. Great pub, look forward each visit!
