About Tally Ho
Child-friendly chain pub with traditional decor and outside tables, for simple food and real ales.
A large four roomed pub at the edge of two roads which culminates with the pub's outside garden terrace. There is a central bar with a pool table and high seating. This area, plus all other rooms, have a television, not always on and usually silent. Step down on one side to two areas, one with a dart board and the other a comfortable lounge area. The other side of the main bar leads down to seating with a more cosy traditional feel with wooden panelling and the doors to the outside seating. It is a landmark building renovated by Stonegate, prior to which it was a Wetherspoon, in fact the upstairs was originally the Head Office for Tim Martin's company shortly after he opened his first pub, Marlers Bar in nearby Colney Hatch Lane, Muswell Hill. It was one of 33 pubs sold to Stonegate in September 2016.
Cask ales are from £3 a pint on Tuesdays. Also "Pick up one of our Cask Ale collector cards for your 6th pint on us!" - pub offers a Cask Ale Collector Card; buy a pint of cask, get a stamp - when card is full get a free pint!

Booked a table to watch the F1, after some technical difficulties with the TVs they managed to put it on for us. Service was great and so were the drinks, unfortunately the kitchen was closed this time.

A place to watch sport, eat and drink with friends. The service is superb, the place has plenty of screens to enjoy any sport without distraction. The food is exquisite, the Cheese Bruschetta is glorious, super creamy and exquisite. And the prices are super good for eating and drinking. A place to come back infinite times ✨✨✨

My friends and I went there for a drink, they had a number of tables and booths to sit in. We ordered our drinks via the app, and waited over 10-15 mins for it.. so I went to check at the main till, they were busy serving pints which is understandable but they didn’t acknowledge the order I made, it was just hanging off the printer. Eventually we were served our drinks after flagging it up. To add to the slow service, the pub stinks of cigarette smoke. It didn’t feel like it was coming from outside but from the vents. So not great for non smokers who just want a drink and chill.

At over £3 for a soft drink I would call this more Tally Go (as in leave)) than Tally Ho! But Mummy Debra was in one of her blast from the past moods and Hadn't set foot in this pub for around 30 years. The pub has a few seating areas but the upstairs was roped off. It was thankfully quiet on this occasion but one imagines it would be full when the sports are televised. The staff was welcoming of a talking teddy bear and a crazy woman wandering around photographing it. There is an outdoor seating area but I imagine, being sandwiched between the north and southbound roads, that it would be a…

Rudest bar tender ever. When cleaning the table, she wiped all the ash on my boyfriends lap, then messed up our order by not telling the kitchen to remove the cheese from my boyfriends burger (whose lactose intolerant). When we asked for it to be remade she scoffed loudly and walked away, 30 seconds later she brought it back and we saw the cheese was scrapped off the chicken - the kitchen didn’t remake it and expected a cold burger with cheese still on it to be okay to give even though it’s an allergen. We asked the waitress to speak to the manager and she never even told her what was going…
