About White Horse

Victorian space with exposed brick walls, modern fittings and DJs on Friday and Saturday nights.

One or two real ales are served here, an early 18th century inn now popular for late night partying, drinking and dining. Candle-lit tables, comfortable sofas, exposed brickwork and advertising posters create a friendly atmosphere in this ‘DJ boozer' with fortnightly Sunday guitarist and Wednesday film nights.

Monday 8pm quiz. Children welcome until 6pm. Pool table; TV sports for major events only. Food served all day at weekends. Front patio inside railing has heaters and shelter for smokers.

An alternative real ale may occasionally replace the Tribute.

In all honesty this was a poor roast , very little gravy , potatoes seems like they were deep fried as they were so crispy , but not nice crispy , the chicken had no flavour , really wished I never spent the money , the staff were lovely , but not like my usual roasts , the Yorkshire puddings were so dry ,and should be fluffy inside did not look nice at all , and also my girlfriend ordered a vegan roast however they put a Yorkshire pudding ontop of hers as well which was not vegan even though the chef came out to ask and show us the ingredients of the breadcrumbs he was using before…

Beef and Ale pie was 10/10, beers are tasty. Good vibe. Don’t bring the bloke who filled in for the pub quiz on 28th October back, took 2 hours to do 30 questions (other patrons were also super annoyed by how slow it was), but alas is usually really good!

Nice and cozy pub. We ordered 2 beef burgers which were totally tasteless. We are still wondering why a nice pub will serve such low quality burgers. Especially considering they charge £14 per burger! We left the pub with the morbid feeling of a full belly and a tasteless mouth. I wouldn’t recommend a beef burger in this pub.

Joe and Luis were great - lost an ID card and they were so cool and patient in a really busy night. Can't bless the staff enough just good blokes and great bartenders doing their job above and beyond expectations

Great pub, and great crowd especially during the day. I've been trying to reach out about lost property recently - I lost a John Partridge wool jumper and Sony earbuds in a charger which has a gold lid. Please let me know if you have either. Thanks!
