About Alliance

Cosy, casual standby featuring elevated pub plates and draft beer, along with frequent quiz nights.

The pub closed on Sunday 30/01/22 and the then current landlord left. The owners of the Clifton St Johns Wood and Duke of Hamilton, Hampstead have signed a lease, and the pub is now trading again after a nice refurb. Currently two rotating cask beers with a large selection of keg beers inclduing London brewers such as Two Tribes, Hackney, Hammerton.

A corner pub in back streets of West Hampstead, essentially two rooms, the left hand one being the brighter, through having windows along the side with a small partitioned area at the rear with sofa seating and a nice looking fireplace. The longer right hand room has a panelled ceiling. Uplighting is applied to the light pastel coloured walls, to give a comfortable ambience. Toned down to a traditional pub now, only a couple of sports screens, more gastro food.

A disabled access ramp is available from the road. Bus: C11 (Westbere Road) or stroll down to the main road form many more. The Alliance has been listed as an Asset of Community Value March 2016.

ACV status was renewed in June 2021 and will now be valid until 2026. Renewed by West Hampstead Neighbourhood Development Forum (NDF).

Didn't eat here this time but, since opening a couple of years ago it's developed a personality... Nice bar team and the decor more cosy. 👌🏼 A good friendly local ... Will report on the food factor next time ;)

This pub is absolutely stunning!! The atmosphere is so warm and the staff are so lovely they let me set my iPad up and watch the Monaco Grand Prix. The chicken & beef roasts were 10/10 and the old fashion was also banging

Best Restaurant in West Hampstead! We went for Sunday Roast and had a delightful experience! This family-friendly restaurant was excellent for the kids. The beef sunday roast was exceptionally cooked, and the roasted chicken was filling and flavorful. The squash carror soup was very well balances and something to come back for! Wish it was on the menu all the time! The staff was extremely helpful and helpful. The environment was pleasant. Will definitely be returning! And looking forward to it!

Nice pub, with a friendly atmosphere and very good service. It was a bit chilly inside at lunchtime, which was a slight drawback, and the loos were in a bit of a sorry state, but the food was good. The roast potatoes could have been a bit crispier and the gravy a bit less salty, but the meat and vegetables were nice. The scallop starter tasted good, albeit with very small scallops.
