About North London Tavern
High-ceilinged gastropub with eclectic lunch and dinner menus, served in a large dining room.
The pub underwent a refurb in the summer of 2023 but the general consensus talking to customers was that it has not been a refurb for the better. Here is one comment, "Latest refreshment sadly did away with most of the settee booth style seating replacing it with high tables and stools. Spolis the atmosphere" See what you think. Note - cash no longer accepted, payment by card only.
24 January 2023 - a new manager keen on cask beer has been appointed so hopefully the range will develop. Beers from Chiltern, Portobello and Twickenham were available on the night but this might be because a CAMRA meeting was being held that night. Time will tell but let us hope for the best.
The North London Tavern was built in 1894 for the Railway workers. A central bar breaks up the pub and the decorated ceiling, lighting, wooden seating and floor create a warm ambience. There is a gastro-style restaurant at the rear in a very nice room but bar snacks are also available. Function room for hire. Beer range changes and often used to feature London breweries such as Sambrook's or Truman's.
Quiz Sun nights, Weds eve open mic. Outside seating on busy main road or slightly less busy side road. The pub was opened out in a November 2014 refurbishment but its essentially pleasant interior remains. Kilburn is the nearest tube. Brondesbury station is on the London Overground.

Had a blinder of an evening for my wedding reception on Friday, Danny and his crew pulled off a great evening with food and drinks. We were 75 odd guests and it all went very well. This pub has undergone some good renovation work and is now a place you feel really welcome and safe in around Kilburn. Well worth a visit and a meal. Thank you all!

Great pub! A really friendly and relaxed atmosphere and tasty food. Gorgeous George served us and he went above and beyond to make our visit perfect! Will definitely return very soon.

Pretty impressive pub, walked in around 2pm for refreshment and food. Delighted that they were still serving food and ordered the small plates 3 for 16.50 and added a side. Bar tender was a true gent, proper bar man!

The pub does have atmosphere, that’s a given… But the food was very very sad. The fish and chips I would give a 2 out of 10, the flat iron steak is not worth the money, nor worth the experience and I feel sorry for the cow. The bearnaise sauce tasted like it had been watered down with cream. Even the mustard and tartare sauce were weak.

We had a wonderful experience at the The North London Tavern 2 weeks ago. We didn't want to leave!! The dads in the group got to enjoy their key sporting events on the big TV while we ate, chatted, and played in the lovely styled pub. It has evidently been refurbished and has a lovely feel about it. After dessert, I even took the wee boys out for some football at a park 5 min away so the rest of the adults could relax and sip away at their drinks from the bar 🍸. Paul was especially helpful. His kindness from the moment I spoke to him on the phone gave us all a feeling of calmness and care…
