Stayed in the hotel … and I had a really nice experience. Was not expecting for the rooms to be so nice. The only disadvantage … they have shared bathrooms. But the design in the room and the level of comfort really compensates this a lot. I recommend if you are in the area … just try it.

I had the Monday burger deal. The meat was a bit overcooked for my taste and did not have too much flavour. The burger buns were a bit tough to bite into. It is a good size burger and very filling. Service was great and very friendly. Although the pub was almost empty it has a very nice ambiance. Good selection of beers too.

Mighty fine cheese burger and chips with a side of homemade coleslaw. Chips were nice and chunky, crisp yet soft inside. Good value too. Plenty of beers and ciders to keep everyone happy. I was there on a Wednesday evening and it was open mic night. A great find I will be back and can highly recommend. Look out for the hidden garden.

We didn't stay here but we did eat here, and oh my word what delicious food. There is plenty of it you won't go hungry, and we didn't think it was overpriced either. We also thought the decor was fab and the staff were friendly too. We both recommend it and would certainly go again.

Came for the food, not the hotel - sadly it's asking me to rate the rooms - N/A. The food, ambiance, bar, service, and selection was top notch. The bar setting is open, you're not cramped in. The bar is easily accessible. Tables over plenty of room. Menu is limited, but still offers plenty. The fish and chips were as you'd expect. However, as an American, I should have asked that the chips be changed to fries otherwise you get traditional chips - or potato wedges. Plenty of drinks available, beers, cask ales, cocktails, soft drinks, and the bartender was able to make an alcohol free…
