About Argyll Arms
18th-century pub with original mahogany panelling and Victorian snugs with etched glass partitions.
An 1860s pub, with current fittings dating from around 1895, this Nicholson's house is on CAMRA's National Inventory of Heritage Pubs and has one of the best late Victorian pub interiors in London. Inside are three snugs separated by wood and etched glass partitions, as well as the magnificent saloon, decorated with ornate mirrors, at the rear and the restaurant upstairs. Note the remarkable decorated Bass mirror. The bar back is impressive and adjacent is a rare survivor, a manager's office with etched glazing.
Drinkers can enjoy changing guest ales from a variety of brewers.
The pub was most recently refurbished in April 2022 for "Internal alterations including new drink shelves, new backfitting display, new bar top, cut back existing servery & form new drink shelf, and reform existing toilets".
Note that alcohol is not served before noon on Sundays. Food options include takeaway and delivery as well as eating in the pub.

It was a pleasant experience. The room featured a beautiful Victorian interior, full of character and charm, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere—perfect for a relaxed drink or meal. We ordered the Sunday Roast, Burger, and Mac and Cheese. The food was cooked to perfection—tender, juicy, and full of flavor. I really appreciated the attention to detail, as everything was prepared exactly as requested. However, the beef could have been sliced a bit thicker for an even better texture.

Amazing food! If you want to taste really good, topical, high quality English meat pies this is the place for you. Loved the place, food, location and beers

We had googled somewhere near the Palladium as a last minute place to eat before the Elvis Costello concert. We were very pleasantly surprised by the welcome we received. Food was lovely and when I saw how much my wife had ate I knew she had enjoyed it. Nice to sit in a old fashioned dining room. Waitress was very nice and saw to everything we needed.

Lovely old-timey pub in a great location on the corner of Oxford Street/ Regent Street. We were seated upstairs in their restaurant. The food was great, as were the drinks. We had a couple of issues - but this was mainly down to there only being one person upstairs when there were suppose to be two. The person who did serve us, etc was great.

The food was fantastic and our server was excellent. Very attentive and friendly. My wife had the beef brisket pie and I had the lentil and vegetable pie. Both were amazing. To top it off we had the sticky toffee pudding which was out of this world. I highly recommend eating here.
