About Botanist
Refurbished historic pub with cask ales and seasonal food, plus a secret garden and regular events.
A lively pub-restaurant the Botanist is popular with local drinkers and diners alike. Originally a row of shops, its internal space divides into different areas, each with its own character. Pavement tables fronting Kew Green are popular in the summer, while a rear yard provides a refuge for smokers. Good range (12) of craft beers. Kew Gardens is only 5 minutes walk away.

Been to The Botanist after a while. The service was good but i didn’t like the new salt and pepper calamari. The one that was served before was way better and i normally order a few portions just for myself. I ordered only one this time. I would like to have the other calamari back. Overall it was nice as usual

Fantastic, beautiful, modern pub with excellent food, beautiful decor and a great vibe. Honestly deserves a higher rating. Had one of the best pub burgers I've had in years, and the fish and chips were excellent too. So many places let you down on the desserts but not here, we had the chocolate torte and lemon tart, both incredible, fresh and dreamy but especially the lemon tart had that beautiful sharpness with the sweet raspberry sorbet and reduction. Sublime. Beautiful place to spend an afternoon. Lovely staff, attentive but never invasive, friendly polite and chatty. Great pub can't wait…

Simply the best ! Never disappointed at the botanist in Kew. Great service and great atmosphere in this lovely pub in Kew garden. We went for the Sunday roast which was delicious never had a roast so good ! Well done chef. If I need to find something to complain about maybe the gravy was too lose but , the potatoes and roast beef was cooked at perfection. Really recommend a visit .
