About Craft Beer Co. Covent Garden

Rebuilt in 1961 as part of Oasis swimming pool. After many years as a fairly indifferent pub it was acquired by Craft in 2014 and, as with many of their pubs, offers a huge and regularly changing range of cask and craft beers. Situated in the ancient parish of St Giles, whose church featured in several of Hogarth's etches, including Gin Lane; it being on the north-eastern edge of Covent Garden will probably have a more modern resonance.

On two levels, this, at the time the sixth Craft Beer Co. outlet, would be more at home in Beer Street with its 15 pumps dispensing an ever changing range of beers from across the UK. On top of this are 30 keg fonts. There are frequent tap takeovers and also meet the brewer events.

Snacks are served from Mr Barrick's and include Scotch Eggs and Pies - many with perhaps unexpected fillngs such as black pudding in a Scotch Egg.

FRom their website - The premises is accessible to wheelchair users by way of a ramp which can be requested from staff. Unfortunately the WCs are are not accessible to nor adapted for guests who are wheelchair users or have reduced mobility.

Great selection of beers and a really friendly welcome. A very knowledgeable guy behind the bar and nothing was too much trouble. A must visit if you love your beer with a really great atmosphere.

This isn't a bar, it's a beer temple! 30 kegs lines and 15 cask lines (that's not a typo) means there's a wide variety of styles on offer, typically covering everything from Pales Ales to Imperial Stouts, Sours and Ciders with multiple options for each style. There's so many beers, they usually have a beer menu (look for the little red menu books) to look through to help you decide! The bar is usually pretty busy upstairs, but there's also seating downstairs, plus you can stand outside also.

We tried out a couple of Craft Beer Co. locations during our time in London and this was definitely our favorite. They have a great selection of craft beer across many styles. They will definitely have something for everyone's taste. The service was friendly and knowledgeable. A recommended spot to anyone looking for a pint or five.

The tap list is quite extensive, though be prepared to pay a premium for the location. I appreciated the bartender telling my husband that the pint he wanted was going to be £8 before she started pouring so he could change his mind as that price was just too high. There was little seating upstairs so we sat in the basement which didn’t smell good since the toilets are down there. We drank our beers quickly and left even though we still had time to kill. Not somewhere I’d recommend.

Central London isn't blessed with dedicated craft beer bars, so this feels like an oasis amongst the dreary chain pubs. Loads of taps, almost too much choice.
