About Crown & Anchor
Bright and spacious dark-wood pub set on 2 floors with a bar/restaurant upstairs.
Dec 2022 - currently have 4 HP's in action, 2 local and 2 nationals. Visited twice in December. On second visit they had East London Foundation & Southwark London pale ale. The nationals were Pride and Landlord.
An old Watney Combe Reid pub re-built in 1904, on the corner of Neal and Shelton Streets, with original signage on the outside of the building, and now run by the Glendola Leisure Group. The main bar is along the back of the ground floor and there's plenty of seating and tables, and large beautifully-designed windows to watch the world go by. It does get very busy, and drinkers spill over into the semi-pedestrianised streets outside of an evening (plastic glasses are compulsory). The first floor serves as a restaurant at lunchtime, and as a bar in the evening.

This is a great spot for a quick stop to grab a beer. It’s also just a block away from Neal’s Yard, which is an absolute must-see. The area is vibrant and colorful, with quiet and safe streets that make it even more enjoyable. If you’re in the area, I definitely recommend checking this place out. It’s chill, relaxing, and the service is excellent.

Came here for the Sunday roast lunch which was amazing. We both had the Pork which was cooked perfectly.! The roast potatoes were crisp and the other veggies were all roasted to perfection. Coupled with a pint of Guinness the whole experience was one we will return for.

A very nice pub in Covent Garden. I ordered a double Makers Mark (£10.60) from their selection of around 20 whiskies. They also had 6 cask available. The pub is spacious with additional seating upstairs and a small seating area outside. It is a bright pub with a lot of natural light. It was busy for 4.30pm on a Tuesday. The service was good, being both efficient and friendly. They do serve usual type of pub food such as fish and chips. I certainly recommend this pub and I will go back.

Came here after a friend suggestion, and it was really great. The atmosphere is just the right one for an English pub, the staff was very nice and the food just amazing. Also, being in Covent Garden (one of my favourite neighborhoods), the prices were good. Try the fish and chips with beer, so good!

Been in the UK for a week plus. This was a great find on our last night. Ordered a chicken and beef pie and mashed. They said it would take 25 minutes like that was abnormally long. I think I have waited longer for fast food… service was excellent, food was delicious. And the atmosphere made the 25 mins seem like 5. Highly recommend. Cheers.
