About Crown

This Grade II listed building dates from the seventeenth century and real fires provide a warm welcome on cold winter evenings. Popular at lunchtimes; the clientele is mostly local with some passing trade. Supposedly haunted by the ghost of an old lady. There is a quiz on the third Wednesday of the month and karaoke on Saturdays. There are themed food deals with burgers on Tuesdays, ribs on Wednesdays and fish on Fridays.

    good village pub with a good selection of food. menu for 14th August shown in associated photo. the menu changes regularly. menu for 9th Oct also shown in photo with reflected light. told you it changes! yet another menu from 8th Jan 2024 which shows how it can vary from visit to visit. Added menu board from 10 jun 2024 and24 jun 2024 to show changes.

    Very nice local pub with amazing food! Had BBQ Ribs for dinner, it was well cooked, one of the most delicious Ribs I’ve ever had for £10! How good is that?! Friendly staff makes you feel comfortable to be in the pub! Always attending/checking if you’re ok! Highly recommended!

    Great pub, nice selection of drinks at good prices, nice atmosphere, they play some sports on TV or music, pool table too. We had some food, it was classic pub food at very reasonable prices, good portions too. Friendly staff, and very clean throughout, a very well run public house..

    What a great local pub. Popped in before picking someone up at Heathrow. Completely unpretentious, friendly and excellent value. Would massively recommended. Don’t expect anything fancy but that’s part of why it’s so good.
