About White Horse

17th-century village pub serving a diverse comfort menu in the historic interior and garden.

Grade II listed and said to have been built in 1534 as a smoke house for curing meat, becoming a pub in 1601. With a low beamed ceiling, the main bar is split by the fireplace. The walls are decorated with assorted prints as well as other Bric-a-brac. A separate barn bar opens when busy or can be used for functions. The Hare family have run the pub since 1987. Close to the newly opened Terminal 5 and the end of one of the airport's runways, this pub is popular with locals, visitors staying in Heathrow's numerous hotels, local workers and plane spotters!

The White Horse Pub: A Hidden Gem I recently had the pleasure of visiting The White Horse Pub, and I can confidently say it’s an experience worth every moment. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was inviting, warm, and effortlessly charming—a perfect blend of traditional pub coziness and modern elegance. The food? Absolutely amazing. Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor, clearly prepared with fresh ingredients and an impressive attention to detail. Whether you’re a fan of hearty classics or something a bit more refined, their menu caters to all tastes. It’s not just a meal…

A perfect end to our trip to London. The haddock and chips was a piece of fish as long as my forearm, and probably the best I’ve had anywhere I’ve traveled. It was a great place for some drinks and dinner. Friendly locals and bartender. Not busy at all, which was a nice change from downtown London. My only complaint is we didn’t find this place sooner!

Excellent pub adjacent to the airport hotels on Bath Road. Doom Bar, Exmoor Ale and Wadsworth Horizon on tap when we visited. The Horizon was excellent. Friendly prompt service which really made us feel welcome. The pub is tiny inside and watch out for the low ceiling. We sat in the covered area outside which was fine despite the autumnal chill. Good quality home cooked food with generous portions. Definitely the place to try if you're stopping over the night before a flight. Five stars to the White Horse team

Such a lovely pub! Felt like walking into a warm hug. Staff, food, drinks, service is just lovely! Ordered a special of day- beef stew. Near our hotel, bus stop a few feet from pub. Definitely visit
