About Cryer Arts Centre

Formerly the Charles Cryer Theatre, the Cryer Arts Centre now combines arts events with a bar and the 'Spotlight' restaurant. A changing selection of cask ales is available on three hand-pumps, supplemented by a range of bottled and key keg beers. An extra bar on the mezzanine floor is open when the theatre is in use, and a room with its own small bar is available for hire. Children are welcome until 7pm. There is a quiz on Mondays and monthly Cuisine Nights.

Lovely bar and cosy music venue. Great view of the stage from throughout the auditorium. Hosts are friendly as are the staff. Drinks are very well priced and the draught beers all local. Shere Drop Bitter was outstanding. Had a great night. Thanks CryerArts Centre

What a fabulous night out with friends, listening to the great music of Fleetwood Mac and Tom Petty. The bar was buzzing before and after, and the staff are very helpful and friendly. A place I highly recommend and I can’t wait to visit again soon.

My husband and I made an unscheduled stop here for dinner. The staff were really cheerful and the service friendly. Hubby ordered a burger and I had ribs. Both were excellent, my only regret was being too full to try the puddings. Will definitely be going back and am delighted to support a local business

Booked a table here as we were going to a restaurant across the road, was pleasantly surprised at what a lovely place, staff were friendly, drinks were reasonably priced too. Loved the mismatched furniture, we went back over after we had eaten to finish the evening with a nightcap. There wasn’t a show on but the bar was consistently busy. We will be back

Spent the evening at the bar, lovely staff, good drinks and delicious food. What more can you ask for? Will be back for some evening entertainment soon!
