A community heart of a pub, confident & purposeful in its contribution to society. A vast corner plot on an open, village centre like square. Ample outside seating under the trees on quiet residential streets. The grand open drinking hall features great glass windows that brighten the inside with natural light. Original pattern papered ceiling dress beautiful, original half tiled walls over a clay tiled floor. Plenty of scattered tables & chairs surround a large, long bar, with mirrored back. It's a clear, uncluttered social meeting place with a good selection of draught & the best service…

We held our civil partnership party at the Dame Alice Owen and the staff were fantastic from beginning to end. Really thoughtful and attentive on the night, and good at answering all our questions in advance. Our friends and family loved the space, food and drink! We were really lucky with the weather but sure it would be great for weddings, parties and celebrations in all seasons.

Lovely pub, serving Watneys beer and a few other decent real beers as well. Very popular in the warm weather, especially with the local students. The food is good too.

A truly lovely pub in Clerkenwell, just south of Islington. Very close to City, University of London, so lots of students and academics. A friendly clientele and great bar staff. Good chat with Charlie, the Manager, who explained the history of the pub’s name since new ownership (just before the first COVID lockdown). Very good selection of cask and keg beers. The choice of pizzas on the board was very tempting and they smelt even better. Beautiful tiled exterior. The outdoor space at the front is large, and set back from the main road. Even busy on a chilly December evening. I’m…

Great pizza! however the staff seem to be indulged in themselves!.. Headphones on… sitting on stools and a lot of drinking behind the bar.!!.. hence customers ignored. Manager seems nice and tries to rectify mistakes. The bar staff seem to be letting the establishment down.
