About Duke of Greenwich
Having closed in March 2022 when the licensee of 18 years retired, the pub reopened in mid-July 2023 with a new name and management, now a sister pub to the Jolly Gardeners in Kennington. Friendly, popular local tucked away at the end of a side street off the main Trafalgar Road in a quiet residential area, in the eastern side of Greenwich. Has a bare-boarded L-shaped bar at the front leading around to a separate dining area at the rear with an open-to-view kitchen and with a ramped slope up to a further rear seating area (the "Cabin"). There is also a spacious outdoor drinking area at the rear.
The 3 handpumps and 10 keg taps offer regularly changing beers focusing on south London breweries. The keg taps dispense a mixture of keg and membrane keg beers, some of the latter meeting CAMRA's definition of real ale. There is also usually a cider on one of the three handpumps and this sometimes dispenses cider meeting CAMRA's definition of real cider.
**The venue has informed that the closing times are in all cases "until close" here.*** If travelling far you may wish to check with the venue first.

Went here after going to Greenwich market while on holidays from Australia . Had a great Sunday roast. I was blown away by the great service by all the staff. Good and drinks were great. Great pub and Sunday roast experience.

A buzzing place in a quiet community, the Duke of Greenwich might just be one of the friendliest pubs this side of the river. Good set of beers and a decent cocktail menu. Loved the flatbread with hummus and black tahini. They’ve got a big garden in the back which you can see on your way in. Will certainly go again.

Great refurb of this old favourite hidden Greenwich pub. From the moment we walked in we were treated so well, Sunday roast was cracking and we would definitely go back. Dog and child friendly- the garden looks like it’s going to be great for summer. Fantastic range of drinks, definitely a great addition to the area.

Incredible food with really warm staff who are very attentive and friendly. We came in for a date night and was very impressed by the standard food and service, especially the lamb shank pie (game changer) & peanut butter cheesecake (next level) Would definitely recommend for a little date night!

What a hidden gem..... An amazing pub with an amazing outside space! . Great drink choices, fantastic menu, the Sunday Roast was 1st class. The lamb was delicious, roast potatoes just right, lovely vegetable sides (special mention to the cauliflower cheese 🤤) and homemade Yorkshire puddings. Had the peanut butter cheesecake for dessert 😋😋 5⭐ Lovely bottle of wine to accompany and great service, the staff were attentive, friendly, efficient and professional! Definitely recommend and will definitely return with friends and family
