About Duke Of Wellington
Contemporary take on a traditional pub, with first-floor Modern European dining and heated terrace.
Grade II listed and smartly furnished corner pub filled with artefacts and figurines of the Duke. Built in 1812, as the Marquess of Wellington, which it remained until 1818. First floor dining room, also hireable for functions.
The pub is under the same management as the Albert Arms SE1. This is very much a gastropub with high-quality food including Sunday roasts, but still authentically a pub not a restaurant. The operators' mission statement "is to create “proper pubs” in London. "We are London residents, passionate about creating a welcoming place for the community, offering excellent food, a great choice of beers and great quality wines".
Note that the licence does not permit sale of alcohol before 10am, or noon on Sundays.

Nice pub, very friendly staff who know about the beers, ales and lagers on tap. Excellent summer atmosphere.

Amazing. Go here if you wanna enjoy the best Sunday roast! Also the cheesy cauliflower was amazing. Can’t wait to go here again when I’m visiting London.

First off I will say the Sunday roast was delicious! - but the service was really disappointing. We were a booked table for 3 people and sat for 10-15 minutes before I had to get up and ask for menus. We had to remind our waiter when a drink didn’t turn up. We only ordered one beer and one bottle of wine. We had our food brought to the table and had to ask multiple times for cutlery. We asked if extra gravy was possible and the waiter said yes but it never showed. Eventually after eating, we just decided to pay the bill and move to a different spot. I don’t feel we asked for much: food with…

This place was busy, tables packed right outside and low on staff at first but the service was excellent and the menu adventurous. Choose carefully. We basically put together a few side dishes and had a real good meal. Included 🥒 cucumber, chilli and 🥜 peanuts all in one it was great. Highly recommended and although it looks dear, it isn’t. The staff were brilliant
