Vintage radios, TVs and telephones decorate this offbeat, shabby-chic real ale bar, with live DJs.
The premises are a former commercial property leased from Hackney council . Fashioned in a "distressed" style with raw brickwork, exposed pipework and "pre-owned" furniture. there are plans to have a dining area upstairs whilst the adjoining premises will be used as offices. Portobello took over from Antic here in late 2020.

It's a vibe. I never had a fav pub but this one has captured my heart. The old and new vibes, the bar at the centre and the chilled staff. I will always come back. Also has one of the best IPA I've ever drunk!

Cute pub. Good espresso martini… May return again just to try other bits. Made me drool and want more of the oregano fries. So simple yet delicious!!

Great bar staff and amazing dj on certain nights. Would be nice if there were other events held here as it's a good space, location and customer service is exceptional.

1st visit. I only stopped by because I was on my way to meet my friend for a gig and coincidentally her name is Farr. I had a Pavement Press cider (1st time too) and enjoyed it. The bar is spacious, comfortable and has a lovely flower garden behind the building.
