About Fellowship Inn

A spacious 1920s pub built as an 'improved' public house in the mock Tudor. Re-opened in June 2019 under the name Fellowship & Star following a major restoration and refurbishment programme financed by a grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund. Many original features remain, including wood panelling, partitioning between the former public and saloon bars, Tudor-arched fireplaces and the central bar counter. Seating is a mix of high tables and chairs, bench seating and low tables and chairs around all sides of a central bar servery, with some booth seating towards the rear. To the rear of the main bar is a spacious function room which was completely modernised with new flooring and a glass atrium roof. Downstairs is the beautifully restored cinema which retains its art deco styling. Having closed once again in March 2020, the pub reopened under new management in September 2022 and reverted to its original name. It closed once more on Saturday 30th September 2023 claiming lack of viability thus seeking a new leaseholder. Reopened 23rd April 2024 and operated by Homegrown as before.

Visited this pub with my uncle Rudy. The few hours I was there the customer's who were also my uncle’s friends were all so friendly. The staff were great . Nathan the manager is great. Food was excellent!!! I got a delivery on Sunday to bring back to Yorkshire with me on the Monday. Will visit The Fellowship when I'm down again in December. Wholeheartedly recommend the food . Absolutely delicious 😋 😋😋😋

We was looking forward to trying the ‘traditional’ roast at the fellowship inn today, we waited over 1 hour for the food to arrive and when it did, it was DRENCHED in a spicy gravy. When I tried the chicken I genuinely couldn’t breathe, I felt like a fire breathing dragon. It was so spicy. As someone without a gallbladder it has made me very unwell. When I approached the bar staff to tell them how spicy it was and it didn’t state spicy on the poster, and it states ‘traditional roast dinner’ with lamb shoulder and roast chicken. The bar staff said ‘oh that’s just a poster, it’s actually…

The venue is amazing and quite large. It's got some normal tables and chairs but also booths for 6-8. There is 2 function rooms and downstairs a cinema, yes a cinema in a pub!! Brilliant. The only thing that let it down was the very, very limited selection of spirits, infact they said they didn't have any? However did have a decent selection of local craft beers. The white wines were awful. And in my opinion not great if you can't provide spirits. The smaller function room with a bar in according to the bar man only had one choice of drink which was a beer, that was all. And they didn't…

Lovely local. Look out for entertainment nights, have some good drinks and reasonably priced pub grub. Visited again for Sunday roast lunch. Food was sumptuous very tasty and very filling. Friendly helpful staff. Football game was on and our party pay of six had a relaxing time. Only small criticism was the roasties we’re not crisp and the vegetarian nut roast was good but no other choice on the menu. We’ll be back for good family friendly, couple friendly, single person friendly, dog friendly, welcoming vibes.
