About Foresters Arms
Straightforward rooms in a colourful, laid-back gastropub offering outdoor dining.
Traditional pub built around 1861 with a reputation for good food that include Sunday roast lunches. The pub was refurbished in 2020 and is part carpeted with a wooden floor in the centre bar area, a small cosy side library room with side access and fire-place. The separate restaurant room can be curtained off as needed on special occasions. The corner TV in the bar area shows old films (Film4) with no sound but with subtitles on. Outside seating is on the front corner pavement (with its own tree) and to the side. The pub provides accommodation with four en suite boutique rooms (see pub's website for details). Quiz night every other Monday. Dog friendly but not in restaurant or upstairs and children not allowed in the pub after 6 pm.
The pub provides a meeting place for local groups (Hampton Wick Association, book club, runners, walkers and cyclists with the Sigma Sports shop close at hand). Bushy Park and Kingston Town centre are all a few minutes walk away.

My friend and I used to go here frequently and popped back for Sunday lunch recently - it did not disappoint. Helpful, attentive and friendly staff, great wine, delicious food. Exceptional service and an ambient atmosphere. They even had roast leg of goat on the menu which was heavenly. Couldn’t have wished a better place to spend a Sunday afternoon

Had the best vegetarian nut roast in Kingston here! The nut roast itself was gorgeous, all the extras were cooked to perfection, topped off with a glorious Yorkshire pudding and loads of veggie gravy. The red cabbage added sweetness. All was so flavoursome and so reasonable at £13. Shared a chocolatey desert and not much room for else! Will come again 🙌🙌

Had a brilliant Sunday afternoon. There was eight of us, some on roasts, some on started, half drinking beer and half on wine. The food was delicious and all arrived at the same time. The Italian red wine was delicious and service impeccable. The staff were patient while we worked out the division of the bill and deserved their tip. I will be going back.

On arrival we approached the bar lady and asked if there was any outside seating, she didn’t look very enthusiastic and just pointed to the door, we were not asked if we were eating or having a drink: Once we found our table I went back in for a menu and ordered two drinks which were ridiculously over priced. Once deciding what we wanted to eat I went back up to the bar to order our food. Two burgers and fries, we had to ask if fries were included as this wasn’t stated on the menu. Our food came and the presentation looked great but unfortunately we can’t say much for the taste, it was so…

We booked dinner at The Foresters Arms on a Saturday night. Excellent value and good sized portions, my steak was cooked just right. Polite, friendly service too!
