About Four Thieves
Eccentric pub in a former music hall with a classic menu, house-brewed ales, comedians and DJs.
Cavernous, back-street brewpub reopened in 2014 by the Laine Pub Company after major refurbishment and installation of a brewery. The pub is made up of a main bar, split over two levels, the Boat House, which hosts much of the entertainment, and a 'gin yard' (complete with a lavender roof). Above is a games room. Previously Battersea Mess & Music Hall under Antic, before that Walkabout, Rise, Bar Risa, Cornet and originally Cornet of Horse. Also formerly Jongleurs comedy venue.
The pub ceased brewing late in 2019 and the brewing equipment has now been removed.
The cask beer range was reduced in 2021 to two from Laines, with a third handpump for cider, but a late September 2023 visit found cask beers from 360 Degrees, Gun and Vocation.

Had an amazing Sunday here. So many board game choices with great food and drinks alongside. Great place to have a nice friend’s day out!

The Four Thieves is a large pub with one main bar split on 2 levels and a second smaller bar. It also has a games room. The decor is dark with a complete mish-mash of chairs and tables which is a refreshing change from uniform bar furniture. It also has some odd objects with what looks like a computer from the 60's, a petrol pump and a large wooden bird carving! It has a good selection of beers, wines and cocktails plus a small menu of smalls, a few main meals and burgers. It often has various deals on including a “Clappy Hour” - to do with Clapham no doubt! 😅 Service is fine and friendly.

The bar people are nice. It's cold in the room with the shipbar during the day but warms up in an hour or so once the hearing is turned on. The real fun is upstairs with the games at £1-£8 per play per person. Sometimes you get prizes but it's not about that. It's ok for dates but better for small groups. Outside area is tightly packed with seating. If you're on wheels, this is not the place for you. No lift.

The Four Thieves is an eccentric pub in a former music hall with a classic menu, house-brewed ales, comedians and DJs. It's a good choice for a social catch up after work drinks or those into gaming and 80s/90s nostalgia. The food is delicious, especially the pizzas. There is a variety of classic arcade games, VR and funfair style sideshows. There is Moonshine Racing - mini RC cars operated from racing seats with interactive scoring. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The pub has two draft beers that are gluten free. Overall The Four Thieves is a fun and unique place to visit…

Great atmosphere, the staff are knowledgeable and courteous. It was my first time in the area for a work event, they made me feel welcome. Drinks and food are reasonably priced, worth a pitstop if you're ever in the area.
