About Garrick Arms

Traditional, open-plan pub with high ceilings, large windows and pavement tables, serving cask ales.

Named for the eponymous theatre next door and refurbished in 2011, this is a rare conversion from what was formerly a Dome cafe/bar, and before that a restaurant. It's an attractive high ceiling room, with polished wooden floor, tiling at the bar, and some green tiling at the rear and to the left of the bar. Outside there's seating and tables on the not so salubrious Charing Cross Road.

Excellent steak and ale pie. My partner had the fish and chips and she loved it too. A few different beers on tap, go to the bar and order for a wider selection. A really nice vibe inside.. really feels like a traditional London pub

After receiving a response from Garrick Arms, I’m modifying my review. This could have been a miscommunication. Because the invitation was extended, we’ll be back to try their lunch deal again at the beginning of the year. “We stopped in to get the £10 lunch and drink advertised on the sign out front. It was to include a choice of about 5 items with a beer and or soft drink. I ordered a salad and an Amstel. My husband ordered the steak sandwich and an Amstel. The server gave us our beers and returned later with the very skimpy sandwich. My husband asked about my salad. It was ordered…

Situated in London's Covent Garden, Garrick Arms has a certain charm that immediately grabs you as you walk through the doors, with that classic British pub feel, replete with warm, panelled walls with stunning woodwork and intricate detailing that speaks of a time gone by. It's the sort of place that just oozes character, every nook and cranny telling a story, making you feel like you're in the living room of a British diplomat. All in all, the Garrick Arms is more than just a pit-stop for a swift half but the whole package - good drinks, food (their pulled pork with chips and chives is…

I was in town for a concert (all the way from Canada) and wanted to eat some pub food on Charing Cross and stumbled upon the Cambridge. The food and service were great. And, might I say there was a super rude diner arguing about her bill to the 2 servers, and the servers could not have been more pleasant in trying to make her happy, despite her clearly being in the wrong. I really felt bad for them. Top pub. Thank you!

Lovely experience at The Garrick Arms! We booked a table online with ease. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The food came out promptly, which was perfect since we were on a bit of a time crunch before heading to a musical nearby. Decent pub grub, great service and a convenient location – would recommend!
